I just picked up my water pump from Repco. You would think they would have tried to sell me the sealant the manufacturer recommends in tiny writing on the base of the box. I hope electric cars come soon. To hell with mechanics and auto dealers. (bangs head) Silly me for not reading everything on the box first, even the tiny stuff..

they meant to sell things, but they are not meant to know what they are selling. 1 or 2 slices of cheese, Mr?
Won't you need a gasket as well? Silicon can do up to 100°C, olden cars only get up to 90 ,-)

for the conduit: yes, will wrap it all into nice boxes. That's why I left some slack in the cables, to have more room to move. Feel sorry for my wife, but she said "Yes" at the reception ,-)

Mine keeps asking when and I keep replying, are you sure you want to do that? If I could I would love to throw a surprise wedding (pre approved) with some friends from OS. (she is Asian).
Somewhere in a field of grass under a big old gum tree. An old train and big camp fire. I might even hire a horse...
Make an entrance without landing on my face...
Red Coat or bushranger? If I go Bushranger I don't have to shave..

Water pumps in and sealed, all working, neighbor had some silicon. Now to fix the broken heater feed pipe the mechanic produced when replacing the clutch (and said nothing).
After that repack the front bearings and brakes and the car is good for another 80,000. smile.gif

Once it dies, electric cars should be available. I pray...
I smell like a differential even after a shower. Ordinary soap does not cut it - soldering flux is water soluble at least.
Can you imagine, brush-less DC motors and a battery pack with transistor regulator. so easy to fix.

just wanted to mention yesterday: you can only hope and pray your rubber pipes from and to pump don't crumble to dust once you touch them. A funny hitchhiking story popped into my head, but wrong forum.

Actually not good for your car driving less than 15min at one go. First 15km do as much wear and tear as 100km when engine is warm. Plus emissions are highest first few minutes after start. Always tried to avoid short distance trips.
