Hi,

Now that I've finally decided which solar hot water system to buy I'm thinking of going the whole hog and getting a water tank as well. Thank You very much to forumites who helped with advice on solar hot water systems.

A plumber has said that they are prepared to connect a water tank to my whole bathroom, laundry and outside taps, never mind the legalities. There are ten taps in total. I was originally advised to get a 5,000 gallon tank.

But I'm concerned about how much electricity the pump will use, and this may negate the environmental benefits of using the tank. I live in a high rainfall area (one of the lucky ones), so there's not so much pressure on our drinking water supply.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Best Wishes,
Sre
