Palm oil sucks!

Dove = All Cussons products
All Johnson and Johnson products
All The Body Shop products

Use Indonesian Palm oil sourced from land cleared from native rainforest.

Find products that use soy and hemp seed oil. They won't be in your local shops but you can find them.

For Australians avoid The Body Shop - Cussons and J&J
Ingredients are toxic and harsh such as Sodium Laurel Sulphate.

Try these instead or similar. For every bar of soap you buy, you can save an Orangutan

Coat to coast has superb Australian bush products - you won't find anything like it. I use it, its the best there is..

Eco store uses hemp seed oil.
PS for the sake of whales, stop buying Japanese brand products like Toyota, Nissan, Nikon, Hitachi etc...

got this booklet about responsible shopping. Pretty much Nestle has to be avoided, can't remember about the others. Kraft? Heinz? If so, there is nothing left, maybe Dick Smith.

Interlinks with the transport topic: sometimes one plant does the whole range. I.e. shipping yogurt all over the place, one plant does the whole range, puts different sticker on, done. Whats difference in canned corn kernels, say, just different sugar/salt added? So would be same plant to.

So it becomes really tricky if you avoid something it enters trough the back door?

Like pine labeled as "sustainable timber" even though it has replaced mountain ash and other mountain species and not been grown specifically in lowland areas? Who is kidding who?
At what point do the soils around Bright become brittle clay packs devoid of any thing that was once good?

sustainable because its in a plantation instead of logging existing old growth pine trees down. since Australia borders the Baltic sea plenty of Baltic pine around.
